Dr. O.K. Hjertaas Memorial Golf Classic Fundraiser
About the Event
The Victoria Hospital Foundation honours Dr. Orville Hjertaas by conducting this annual charity golf tournament in his name. Dr. Hjertaas was a key player in the development of Saskatchewan’s medicare system. His pioneering efforts have been used as a model in may areas around the world including the United States.
The Victoria Hospital Foundation has chosen to honour this prominent Prince Albert citizen by conducting an annual charity golf tournament in his name. The proceeds from the tournament are used to purchase urgently needed medical equipment at the Victoria Regional Hospital.
This year’s tournament will be raising funds to purchase much needed equipment for the Palliative Care Department which serves patients requiring medical care during their final days. The department focuses on providing people with relief from the symptoms, pain, physical stress, and mental stress of a terminal diagnosis.
Join us on August 25, 2017 when The Victoria Hospital Foundation will host our 20th Anniversary O.K. Hjertaas Memorial Golf Classic at the Cooke Municipal Golf Course.
