Swish record

Ecole St. Mary’s High School hosted the Swish For A Cure game Tuesday night. The Marauder’s team invited the Carlton Comprehensive High School Crusaders to be their opponents. The game is an annual fundraiser with the invited team being the next year’s hosts. The home team wears pink jerseys and fundraises for the fight against cancer.

The St. Mary’s team chose the chemotherapy department at the Victoria Hospital to be the recipient of this year’s tournament funds. Through sponsorship, silent auction, ticket sales, and other fundraising initiatives, the team and their families raised a record breaking total of $89,623.02. The funds will be used to purchase CADD pain pumps for patients receiving treatment in Prince Albert.

A special thank-you to Conexus Credit Union for their donation of $50,000 to the total. We would also like to send a special thank you to Malcolm Jenkins who made a matching donation of the funds raised by the school.
